The CPA profession has changed tremendously in the past quarter
of a century and will change even more in the future.
General consensus indicates that the public still thinks of CPAs as
leaders primarily in audit, accounting and taxation. Many people
don't realise that our profession has changed, moving with time to
provide services in different areas.
In reality, in the increasingly sophisticated business environment,
CPAs must continue to evolve to meet the changing demands of
a competitive marketplace. In a nutshell, we have to offer strength
beyond numbers.
As a CPA firm, our role is not merely to provide information.
We translate information for account users so they can make effective
decisions, and add value to information by providing assurance on it.
Our role is to be the pre-eminent accountancy professionals in
knowledge management and in leveraging knowledge for effective
decision making. |
